Bad News: UP 1.75 Lakh Shiksha Mitra Appointment Cancelled by High Court

The Day started with bad news for all 1.75 Lakh Shiksha Mitra also known as contractual teachers of Uttar Pradesh. Today, In Uttar Pradesh (UP) 1.75 Lakh Shiksha Mitra Appointment Cancelled by the Allahabad High Court. The 3 Judge Bench of Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, Justice Dilip Gupta and Justice Yashwant Verma of Allahabad High Court took a final decision to cancel all the appointments of approx 1 lakh 75 thousand assistant teachers of UP. The Courts Said “According to National Council for Teacher’s Education (NCTE) only Teacher’s Eligibility Test (TET) Passed & Qualified candidates will be appointed as Shiksha Mitra. According to the Rules These Shiksha Mitra are not TET passed and can’t be appointed as Shiksha Mitra.”

Hence, the Final Decision was made by Allahabad High Court to Cancel Appointment of 1.75 Lakh Shiksha Mitra in Uttar Pradesh. In year 2011 & 2012 during BSP rule the Shiksha Mitra was appointed only on BTC basis but after that SP Government of Akhilesh Yadav came and applied the rules which will now effect 1.75 lakh teachers “shiksha Mitra of UP”

Well, this is very tough time for shiksha mitra, lets see what they gonna do now, even now BTC is allowed only for TET qualified candidates. at Engineers Corner we have seen many Engineering students also teaching in primary schools & earning good enough via (Basic Training Course) BTC. as, they don;t have any other options left after B.tech 🙁 Sad but true !!! This is the level of Unemployment in India.
